How to Measure for Cock Rings, Head Rings & Ball Stretchers
📏 Proper Fit Matters
A properly fitted ring should feel secure, supportive, and comfortable — never painfully tight.
Taking a few quick measurements greatly improves comfort, performance, and overall experience.
Begin with these steps to measure for a cock ring size:
✅ Step 1 — Prepare
A tailor’s measuring tape is ideal. If one is not available, simply use a ribbon or string at least one foot long, a ruler and a marking pen. You can measure in inches, centimeters or millimeters.
✅ Step 2 — Measure
If using a tailor’s tape, when fully erect encircle it under the balls and around the top of the penis. Pull the tape until you have a very snug fit, not an uncomfortable choke. Note the measurement.
If using a string, encircle it the same way. Pull the ends until snug. Mark the string on both sides where they meet. Remove the string and measure between the marks.
A more accurate measurement is sometimes taken when flaccid.
Take several readings in varied states of soft, hard and semi-erect.
Use the One Finger Rule to confirm you are pulling the tape or string firmly enough.
☝🏽 The HMO One Finger Rule
When SOFT you should be able to just fit one finger under the string.
When HARD you should not be able to fit even one finger under the string.
If your readings for soft, semi-erect and hard are different, find the average of all, or use the largest one.
👉🏽 Most users are surprised by how quickly proper sizing improves comfort, confidence, and overall experience.
✅ Step 3 — Use the HMO Right Fit Calculator
🌟 Measure for a Glans Head or Shaft Ring
Follow the same steps used when measuring for a cock ring, but ignore the one finger rule.
Measure just behind the glans head, at the base, and anywhere on the shaft you might wear it.
Inside diameters 7/8 to 1-3/8 inch (20mm to 35mm) are the most popular sizes.
💡 Many users eventually keep multiple sizes depending on placement, arousal level, and desired fit.
🍒 Measure for a Ball Stretcher
It’s easiest to measure when the testicles are warm and relaxed (after a warm shower is a good time).
Grab and pull them down as much as you can, then measure around the scrotal sac above the balls.
Most sizes fall between 30 and 40mm.
💡 For many users 35mm is the most common starting size.
